Course Description
This course is for anyone who wants to learn a new language, further develop any knowledge of the language and learn about the French culture.
Course Aim
This course aims to lay down solid foundations in the French language enabling students to become competent in the use of grammar and vocabulary. Students will also learn about the French cultures and traditions; offering a unique and valuable insight into the country to further reinforce the content. This course will enable students to advance into higher levels of French and improve their communication skills in the foreign language.
Entry Requirements
Entry level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy (free help is available within BAES if required) is desirable. At the start of the course the tutor will carry out an initial assessment to check that the level is suitable for you.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?
You will need a notebook and pen and a French-English dictionary. The reading book is optional - we will provide photocopies of the necessary pages.
