Course Description

Practical demonstrations of the techniques used in pottery. Advice and feedback as you try different techniques. Learners can try a variety of techniques to suit them from hand building, slab building, coil construction, using the wheel to using glazes.

Course Aim

To encourage confidence in handling clay starting with simple construction techniques.

Entry Requirements

None. Suitable for all levels. To get to your classroom you need to park by the caretakers house which is to the left as you come down the school drive. Looking at the school you will see a mobile classroom. Walk towards the school with the mobile classroom on your left and you will see a classroom with double doors to the right. These are usually open - this is your classroom.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?

Wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. Price includes all materials used including clay, glazes, kiln, moulds. Tools will be supplied.
