Patchwork Skills for Beginners

Course Description

This course is of mixed ability. The topics covered will include: using templates, hand stitching, hand quilting, various stitches and the construction of a small project with a lining.

Course Aim

To give students the knowledge to be able to create a small project using patchwork squares.

Entry Requirements

This course is for anyone of any age who wishes to pursue patchwork. There is no need for the learner to have any previous experience in sewing or patchwork.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?

Pen and notebook, Rotary Cutter, Cutting mat and ruler, Fabric scissors, Pins, Needles, Stitch un picker ,Bernina bobbin, Air erasable or water erasable pen, Silver Grey or white cotton thread for the sewing machine, 3 – 1/2 metres of cotton fabric, for the foundation blocks and samples, Container to carry your equipment and patchwork
