The step by step approach will allow you to acquire and improve basic drawing and painting techniques and to improve confidence through the creative process.
Class themes will include drawing from observation, still life, landscapes, portraits, composition and using your imagination.
It is a very practical course and learners will be encouraged to explore the creative process through experimentation and discovery.
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to:
Beginners setting out on a creative journey wishing to sample a range of art techniques
Develop a more in depth knowledge of art and creative techniques
Anyone wanting to unlock their creative potential
To explore and learn how to use a range of painting and drawing techniques using a variety of materials.
You won't need experience of drawing or painting for this course. However, as it involves a small amount of reading and some work around measurements and proportion, so you will need to have basic literacy and numeracy skills. You will have a short initial assessment at the start of the course to ensure that it is suitable for you.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?
initially you will need to have a small selection of materials of your choice for example, pencils, watercolours and paper. Information and advice will be given throughout the course about additional materials and equipment as well as where to purchase these and suggested costs.
Tuesdays class is at Learning4Life at The Wordsley School. Wednesdays class is at The oakfield Centre, Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill.
