COURSE AIM: To work through the process of creating a pattern to enable clothes to fit correctly.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Learners will learn to take measurements, waist, hip, length, construct a basic skirt pattern block, create a basic skirt in calico or curtain lining with darts and zip. The learners could then progress on to making a skirt with flare, short or long, to fit themselves without purchasing a pattern.
WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS? For learners who have dressmaking experience, able to use a sewing machine, who want to be able to make their own patterns to fit correctly.

DO I NEED ANYTHING FOR THE FIRST CLASS? 1 metre of calico or lining cotton/polyester, cream thread, needles, scissors, paper and fabric. Basic sewing equipment e.g needles, tape measures, ruler.
