COURSE AIM: To enable students to get started with buying and selling on eBay with confidence and in safety.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Declutter your life with this fun and friendly course on using eBay, the world’s largest community for buying and selling goods of all kinds. You will learn how to set up an eBay account, buy and sell items, what they cost and how to build up to a good reputation in the eBay community.
Search for items you wish to buy, find the best price, how to identify a good seller, leave feedback and complete your purchases safely.
Increase your chances of selling an item by adding attractive photographs or a description;setting the right sale price or choosing to auction, working out postage, what to look for in potential buyers and sending off your item once sold.
WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS? Intended for complete beginners to eBay. You will need basic keyboard and mouse skills, be able to use a web browser to go to a website. Logging on to a website using a username and password and searching on a website. This course is not suitable for advanced eBay sellers or those who wish to sell on eBay as a business.

DO I NEED ANYTHING FOR THE FIRST CLASS?
Please ensure you have a working webmail account — you will need to access this from the Centre You can use a hotmail account if that’s all you have, but you will have to provide bank details if you use this type of account. No charge will taken from your bank – it’s for security purposes only. EBAY is free to register. If you have a user name/Bank details already setup for EBAY please advise this on booking. Handouts are provided each week but you may wish to bring a notepad and pen to make your own notes.
If you wish to list your own items on eBay in the week 4 workshop, you will need to bring any written content and images you intend to use with you on a USB stick.
